
Mind/Body Approach to Infertility: A New Beginning
It hardly needs to be restated that a woman who is experiencing infertility in her life is prone to intense feelings of anxiety, anger, powerlessness, helplessness, frustration and sadness. Having spent most of my professional life working with individuals with varying health problems including cancer, I have found that the suffering one experiences going through infertility often equals and surpasses the suffering of people with very serious illness.

Too early to be talking about the holidays? After all, this is just the beginning of fall! If you are thinking, “Give me a break!” I can certainly understand. However, we all know that around this time of year, we begin to make plans for the holidays ahead. From the perspective of fertility, it is not a moment too soon to prepare yourself emotionally and psychologically for the holiday season.

Women Who Struggle
Women who struggle with infertility and women who have had multiple miscarriages experience a great deal of suffering. Feelings of anxiety, depression, frustration, anger, envy, and often hopelessness are common. In addition, many women feel a sense of isolation from friends and family. It is acutely painful for many women to socialize with their friends who have children and since most women are in their 30s, it is often the case that their friends have children.
