Diane Johnston, APRN-BC, PNP is a Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry and a Mind Body practitioner with a Masters of Science from Columbia University. In addition, Ms Johnston has trained at the Family Institute of Westchester and is a Marriage and Family Therapist. She also has a Masters in Music from the Manhattan School of Music.
Ms. Johnston has an extensive background in the field of Behavioral and Integrative Medicine. She has held positions as clinical supervisor in the Department of Complementary Medicine at New York Presbyterian Hospital as well as Director of the Mind Body Medical Institute in New Jersey.
Diane Johnston is currently in private practice as a psychotherapist in NYC and Westport, CT. and she is also a Personal Life Coach. Her post-graduate studies include a Fellowship training at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, training with Herbert Benson, M.D. at Harvard Department of Behavioral Medicine, training at the Institute for the Study of Health and Illness with Rachel Remen, M.D. and study with Jon Kabat-Zinn, PhD. in the area of Mindfulness.
Ms. Johnston is a professional speaker and has both spoken and conducted workshops at corporations, organizations and hospitals. She is facilitator and creator of stress reduction programs for women as well as the Mind Body Fertility Program which she created in 1996. Ms. Johnston has created and facilitated Mind Body Programs for cancer survivors at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and at Morristown Memorial Hospital for women with cancer. She continues to offer Meditation groups in her offices in Westport, CT and Manhattan.
In her private psychotherapy practice, Ms. Johnston has a specialty practice in fertiltiy counseling for individuals and couples. Ms. Johnston is an adjunct professor at Columbia University School of Nursing. |
